green park brasserie & bar

January 2008

With a sigh of relief from us and a groan of despondency from the Bank Manager, December is behind us and we look forward to 2008.

The Brasserie has been non smoking inside since 2005 and this is now extended to the outside area under the station roof. The outside area to the front of the braz, under the cover of the Porte Cochere has become our permitted smoking area.

Our much loved, amazing early diner offer will restart in January, under it's new updated version. Just £9.95 for 2 courses if you have sat down and ordered before 7pm Tuesday to Friday, before 6.30 on Saturday. There is a choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 desserts.

On the music front we continue to present many of the best jazz musicians from Bath and (in a spirit of native Bathonian cultural condescension) from Bristol, with Trios and Quartets on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. \'Just Drinkers\' are welcome though on Friday and Saturday evenings diners have table priority, so it may be standing room only inside but there are plenty of seats under the satisfying span of the station roof.

As for the food, I know we are consistently producing fresh food of an extremely high quality, the best of my fifteen year involvement with the Braz, sourcing much of our produce from the adjacent Farmers Market and other local suppliers. Stylistically, we have moved away from classical French to an eclectic blend of modern and traditional British cuisine.

To sum up, great, informal atmosphere, wonderful, live music, fabulous, fresh food, interesting wines and miscellaneous beverages, all with friendly service.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
