"The Romans may have established the party scene in Bath but it is still very much alive today. Head to Green Park Brasserie and Bar for the live jazz and drinks."

"I remember the opening of the UK's first farmers' market at Green Park in Bath, which still thrives today. Markets like these changed the way I lived: I could shop from really good suppliers of local produce on a Saturday morning.

"We'd buy our supplies and then have a brandy and a coffee at the Green Park Brasserie, chat with the kids and talk about what we were cooking. This is a real hub of activity and centre of good food in Bath, and a place I always love to go.

"Beautifully located in an old railway station, the Brasserie offers a relaxed, friendly environment with freshly prepared food, an eclectic wine list, organic coffee and live music.

"A must do with any visit to Bath, the Brasserie is at the heart of the thriving independent community at Green Park Station which hosts Bath Farmers’ Market (the UK’s first Farmers’ Market) every Saturday from 8am to 1.30pm."

"Bath is a culture-filled hive of activity, with the long-established, renowned local institution that is Green Park Brasserie at its heart. The Brasserie is best known for putting on free live jazz every week from Wednesday to Saturday.

"The Brasserie won the title of Bath’s Independent Restaurant of the Year for 2015-16 thanks to its quality food and drink, relaxed ambience and friendly service. Having supported local producers for the last 25 years, the team happily takes advantage of the weekly farmers’ market that’s situated right beside the Brasserie."

"Housed in a historic venue at the old railway station, some of the chef's ingredients are sourced mere metres away at the Bath Farmers' Market and are used to create quality dishes (think fish pies, burgers, steaks and the like). "
